10. Oak Trees

Oak Trees throughout the Cemetery

Before the UU cemetery was established, some of this land was owned by Daniel Abbot.  It has always been known as “Oak Grove”.  Notice that the street beside the cemetery leading to Canal Street is called Grove Street.  These heritage trees are well over 250 years old.

The office is open 9 am to 4 pm

Speare Museum self-guided tours   from 10 am to 3 pm.

Abbot House tours by appointment.
